Light apple / pear on the nose, with hints of citrus. On the palette, smooth and balanced. Dry, with a bit of citrusy tartness. Overall, very nice. Minerality really comes out with food.

Subdued aromas but moderate flavors of orange and peach with fairly high acidity.

Ramato in style. Just a touch of a bit of plastic thing to it.

Pretty notes of peaches, strawberries, and mandarin oranges are accented by hints of dried fruit, herbs, and minerality. Nice energy and freshness through the finish.

Medium orange – melon, lemon, orange, minerals, peach, ripe yellow apple, hint of banana. Medium+ acid, 12.5% ABV, medium- body, medium- intensity, medium finish. Made in the Ramato (“copper” in Italian) style (macerating Pinot Grigio grape must with its skins) from Friuli, Italy. It was the first Ramato I've tried, and I found it had more weight than the other Pinot Grigios I've had. It paired perfectly with Lemon Dill Salmon.

Very quaffable but a bit simple.

Bright copper orange. Shy nose and medium palate of melon, baked quince, and spice. Medium plus acidity (it’s Friuli after all) and a wee pot of tannin on the medium long finish. MJB has brought us a wonderful northeastern Italian Ramato style PG that should appeal to everyone from casual drinkers to wine nerds. At home as a sipper, but will shine with a rich meal. Roast chicken, Bronzino, and a host of vegetable dishes will pair nicely. Drink now …
