Certainly enjoyable but as expected a bit over the hill.

Dark yellow/gold. Frankly I thought this was red wine, so I didn't really bother opening it. Now, having discovered what it is, I decided to drink it right away. It is a tad off, some oxidation, but quite drinkable - an experiment. Hopefully no more bottles of this left.

nose of cream, corn oil and oatmeal; on the palate plenty of body, tannic grip and good structure, decent acidity, has lost the heavy oak scent that dominated the bottles we drank some years before.

nose of acacia blossoms with hints of honey; on the palate dry with complex semilion flavors and a distinct mineral finish.

Good bottle. Golden, light brown colour. Minimal ageing notes which fly by very quick. Good concentration and complexity. Well balanced. Drink now or during the next years.

Took me a long time to find a wine I was confident could be served with a salade perigourdine (salad with a vinaigrette but also duck gizzards, foie gras and smoked duck). In the end, I stuck with a wine from the same region. This wine did great, with enough acidity to tolerate the vinegar but also a slightly sweet tonge that paireed well with the duck and foie gras. A perfect match really.

dark yellow. Expressive, complex nose of exotic fruits and honey. Powerful, but dry, on the palate. Extremely long finish with hints of exotic fruits, honey and vanillin.

Depressingly dark gold and maderised. Shame as there is enough left to say what a classy wine it ought to be.
