Moderate golden in the glass, and aromatically marked by pronounced lees character - bread dough, hazelnut, a touch of cream. There’s a softness to the fruit - yellow apple and pear skin - but it feels somewhat subdued under the weight of the lees. Acidity is modest, leaving the palate broad and slightly heavy, without quite enough lift to keep things moving. Textural and intriguing, but a touch more tension would have brought this into sharper focus.
