- Crimsom color. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Posted using cellarvu - cool app. This bottle is another of Vince's balanced wines. Spicy, dark berry fruits, and a hint of dark chocolate. The acidity carries the wine from the mid palate through the finish. Perfect on this Friday night.

Great bottle of wine

Rich, intriguingly untamed flavors of ripe plum, blackberry, spicy chocolate. The wine starts out brawny and big, then explodes (or should I say implodes?) into a wine that knits together the explosive fruit, tannins and acidity for a complex, almost elegant finish. This made me want to jump up and make steak au poivre.

Opened by mistake - meant to grab a 2003 and was rewarded with a corked bottle.

An excellent vintage from an excellent vintner. Spicy nose, great color, medium finish.

A ripe and complex vintage, this Zinfandel shows a variety of characteristics ranging from peach, strawberry and uncooked rhubarb to earthy black tea and pepper. The wine opens up in the glass to reveal blackberry / raspberry fruit notes layered with pipe tobacco, allspice and cedar. A bright acidity, along with firm tannins and a broad range of flavors ensure that this is a wine that can be paired with many different foods. per Frank at GGWC
