100% Chardonnay, but smelling a bit of smokey wood to me. Or maybe its just the change (the shift) from what i have been drinking. 24 months in the lees and six months bottle.

Chardonnay from Sicily. pretty oxidative at this point but i think the bottle was sound. this was showing less fruit and had a dry but very elegant character. it improved with whatever food i could throw at it. enjoyable for me but would be a bit to austere for many palates.
