A few Saturday afternoon tasting notes...12/19/2009 : WIML86 Tasted December 19, 2009 at a retail tasting. Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of matchstick, paraffin, camphor and a bit of yellow apple. Flavors of bitters up front followed by yellow pear and yellow apples. Light to medium acidity and body. Weird presence on the palate. Drink now.

Got this as a gift. A nice chard. Well made, nice acid balance, nice citrus-melon notes with a light buttery, moderately oakes finish. Here is the zinger...I looked this up...retails at $42... I would not have guessed it sold for a dollar over $25... More like $19-$21. You won't be unhappy if you get this as a gift, but if you had to pay for it, I can think of 50 chafes i'd buy before this.

delicate cheerios to the nose. touch of spice on the finish. elegant in that new world tipping of the hat to the old world kind a way.
