This was in a nice spot after 2.5 hours of decanting. Tannins faded to the background and polished violets, iodine and sour cherries were on the palate for medium length.

Slow ox'd for 6h. Brought to Italian BYO. 14% abv. Loved this wine. I think the prior notes are spot on. Dried flowers, black cherry, floral aromatics. Nice structure and backbone. Can definitely approach it now with a slow ox but I think this has easily 5 years of cellaring ahead. 92

Nice at the price point. Dried flower and black cherry note. Fruity aromatics with floral lift. Inviting palate with a soft attack and fine slightly bitter tannins governing this structure and a bit of lift.

Decanted for 1 hour became fruit forward. Paired with duck and full fat dishes such as a risotto. Very dry finish. Delicious with dark chocolate.

This was great over 4 nights. Cherry predominated, with some slightly scorched earth as well. Tannins still pucker a bit even tonight, but there was always more than enough fruit to push them into the background. It was one of those Brunellos that gained weight over the course of time. I like it now, but it will inarguably be better in a few years.
