Hugh Hamilton Shiraz Black Blood III

Really enjoyed this wine. Admittedly opened it at the commencement of a holiday but the wine was excellent. Smooth with power.

McLaren Vale, Scarce Earth, 2012 single block shiraz tasting (Bistro Moncur, Sydney) : Red over black fruits, green peppercorn, cream…quite elegant. In mouth there is beautifully balanced acidity and tannin with flavours of red berry and plum fruit, slight coffee. Long finish. Very nice. Puts me in mind of the more northern parts of St. Joseph.
