Dinner at Mercantile in Denver.) Medium dark inky. Bouquet suggests not too fruity and depth of flavor. Slightly viscous, some barnyard, more earth and minerals and plum than cherry and cola. More prolonged finish than most US pinot noirs. Exceptional.

Fantastic wine. Strong fruity nose with some barnyard funk. Very light tannins, yet still round and balanced on the palate. Flavors of ripe red fruits with some interesting earthiness and minerality. Medium length of finish, but the flavor impression stayed with me for a long, long time after each sip. Unique and boldly elegant, this wine really draws you in.

Lovely legs and finish. Bright fruit. Red raspberry and cherry. Some chocolate notes but red is the dominant taste and feel. Should age nicely over next 5-7 years.

Gave this a 3 hour slow ox. Initially a touch of funk that quickly blew off. Moderately dark with slight blue tint. Lovely red fruit nose with huge deep earthy base and lighter contrasting overtones. Wonderful mouth feel. Plum and black plum with cherry, cinnamon/allspice and deeper, earthy flavors. This is really good and should get better.

{Bought on release after tasting hosted by Len R at Federal Wine in Boston} Sophisticated, complex aromatics and similarly complex palate with very fine length. This wine is built on soil inflected minerality, and is a spherical wine without anything intruding or sticking out. Sandalwood, hints of roses and pastille, balanced red and black fruit scents, extremely fine tannins, remained lively on the palate without ever being heavy.
