PnP into a Conterno Sensory. Gangbusters from the get-go. Sweet, savory and penetrating nose of sweet red-blue fruits (blueberry, blackberry, pomegranate), violet, granite and umami and saline minerals. Just stunning - crunchy complex deep. The texture of the nose is so 3-d and unique. Definitely some of that "blueberry-powdered quartz milkshake (tm)" thing I always get from Cuchet. A little more red fruited than usual and I love that. Classic deep red color with purple hints. Coravin at first, a bit reduced and muted. I uncorked the bottle after a couple days and the wine had relaxed. My first surprise comes from the wine's silky texture, with gentle tannins. Great red and black fruit quality, with typical Cornas wilderness, stony mineral and bright. There's a lovely balance here and this is neither rustic nor polished. This is pure and I'd like to see how it evolves.
