Tasted this with some friends and it sparked The Great Debate. Those who dislike traditional buttery, oaky chardonnay liked this. I found it complex and interesting but not enjoyable.

lemony citrus nose and mouth, straw and oak dominant. Surprising good for an inexpensive Chardonnay. Got better after a day and closer to room temperature

Blind tasted this along with a 2007 Beaune from Louis Jadot and was asked the questions - what was the better wine? and origin. I placed this wine in the Maconnais yet not Pouilly Fuisse ... compared to the Beaune, it seemed less focused and had fatter, more generous flavors. The Beaune had a tighter structure and leaner more focused mouthfeel and finish. Still, the 2010 Pouilly Fuisse is a good food wine and with no comparison involved easy to …

One of the better whites that we have had in a while. Beautiful honeyed flavor along with good acid and nice fruit. Nice nose. Would like to find more of this. We drink lots of whites and really enjoyed this with baked clams and flounder.

Nose of green apple, tropical fruit, lemon peel, vanilla, and toasted oak. Apple, citrus, and soft oak on the palate lead to a long, crisp finish. Good acidic balance. Paired well with chicken and a pesto cream sauce.

Bright flavors of lemon, green apple, pear, and toast on entry. A kiss of vanilla helps keep its tangy acidity in check. Displays an elegant restraint on the minerally finish. This is very clean and refreshingly crisp. Very good.

Clear deep gold in color. Stoney apple and marzipan (faint) on the nose. Nice and rich on the palate with dry quince and oat butter ruling. Good acidity, but a smooth mouthfeel. This is on the good side of inexpensive Pouilly-Fuissé.

Beautiful straw color. Let it sit for a few minutes in the glass. First impression is of minerals, subtle oak, citrus, and some distant buttery and peppery notes on the nose. Excellent acidity which seems to provide a crisp mouthfeel that delivers flavors of lemon, apple, melon, and wet stones, underscored with creamy, but very light buttered popcorn notes. Pleasant, long slightly tangy finish. One of the better White Burgundies from the Maconnais Region that I have enjoyed in quite …

Wonderfully classic Chard nose - bright apple, lemon, hints of butter/oak, and lovely Pouilly-Fuissé notes of minerality & wet stone. On the palate, flavors of lemon, pine nuts/creaminess, and metallic undertones. Lively acidity (balanced out after 30 minutes of popping the cork), medium to full-bodied. Straw on the finish. Surprisingly good for under $20.

Very nicely balanced and drinking great right now. A great value and a perfect mid-week food wine. Lemon, green apple, and stony minerals with terrific acidity. As an aside, I've been really impressed with 2010 Macon. I'm hoping the vintage character carries over into the Cote d'Or. Not as ripe and blowsy as many 2009's, but not as austere and much more approachable at this stage than the 2008's were. Just a fantastic balance of fruit and acidity.
