Frimaio Chianti Classico

a bit too woody for me, perhaps even a bit TCA affected. Keeping most of it for another round later.

Red fruit and woody spice on the nose. Focused and classy on the palate with cedar, ripe berries, prominent acid, and teeth drying tannins. Nice milk chocolate finish.

Deeper in color than expected for a chianti. Deep red with puple tones. Light legs and young in appearance. Sour cherry, minerals with forest floor and tobacco notes on the nose. Light to medium bodied wines with refined acidity on the palate. Tastes of cherries, black fruit, and oak with sweettarts on the atteck. Medium finish that leaves one wanting. Young subtle tannins, that could stand some cellar time. Pairs well with food esp pizza.
