Brief note written from memory. Outperforming its place in the heirarchy. Forest floor, dried herbs, wet soil, red cherries, both fresh and preserved. A bit of barnyardy funk. The bright acidity common in the vintage. Below mid weight, a little angular and rustic. Age-appropriate mushroomy evolution. Best before say 2029.

Popped and poured in Copake. Nose is reticent, with a slight aroma of red fruit. Medium body with copious amounts of strawberry and cherry fruit. There’s plenty of Pinot spice here, and a touch of earthy minerality as well. I notice too the wine has a slight viscous quality, likely from the oak in which it was aged. Tannins are resolved, long spicy, acidic finish. Very pretty Pinot and drinking superbly at present. PS: Finished bottle the second nite open …

My experience was exactly the same as big juicy red below. Higher acidity, rather angular, the wine was very tight. Not soft, but very precise. Had with steak, I think it would be better with a cheesier, creamier meal. Oh well.

Medium ruby. It was very tight at first. Most noticeable aroma was a pronounced vanilla, probably from oak, followed by strawberry, black cherry, and other red fruits. Dry, high acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, light body and light flavor intensity. I wasn't sure what to expect from this wine, having purchased it as a curiosity (I believe it's one of, if not the, only pinot fin in Burgundy). It was much lighter, tighter, and less complex than I was expecting. …

Medium ruby with a maturing nose of red cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, charred wood, smoke, coconut shell, cedar and an earthy, mushroom aroma too. The palate has all those red fruits on the nose but there's also dried herb and green pepper too.

Dark ruby with red cherry and eucalyptus smells, the palate is still fresh and primary with principally black cherry flavours and a sappy, stalky finish which I like.

An impressive Bourgogne. Quite dark garnet, also dark cherry fruit profile. Lots of sweet (slightly floral) aromatics and acidity provide lift... hint of spice. Drink or hold for 5-6 years

very much alive - what tannins there were are fully resolved and the fruit is delicate but distinct - drink over the next year or so

Once again, totally anonymous as to origin (and, arguably, grape variety). Way too extracted to be Bourgogne.

Red fruit (cherry, strawberry), nice spice, slight earth, good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Needs a couple hours air.

Pretty fourscquare and anonymous example of Pinot Noir. Decent acidity to go with the primary fruit at this stage, but I don't seeing this ever getting terribly complex.

better on the second day, this is a darker colored Bourgogne scented with ripe red berries and flowers, structured, firm, mouthwatering flavors of cranberry, cherry tart, crushed stone and mineral, fulfilling, nice weight, well crafted

PNP Eye: Deep ruby nearly crimson Nose: Cool nose of raspberry, spice and earth Palate: Black cherry, blackberry, tree bark, some funk and still some tannins present on the finish. Medium + acidity and a medium + finish. Once again this is quite nice and great qpr. Could use a little time open but drinking well. Enjoy!

Medium ruby, watery rim. Red cherry and raspberry nose, good raspberry fruit with a tangy, slightly sour mouthwatering finish. Very moreish.

ruby color with purple hue, telling of its youth, floral aromas, young pinot aromas, red fruit flavors, firm mid palate, mineral, long finish. This was very enjoyable and went quick. Very promising.

On opening this was closed, rubbery, not very pleasant. After a few hours, better balanced and pleasant if smple, but I wonder whether this could have done with a little less extraction in this vintage.

Needs air, I'd recommend a 2+ hour decant. Decent balance, good freshness, a reasonable smack of fuit leading to a mineral touch towards the shortish, lipsmacking finish.

Probably the least impressive 2009 Burgundy in my cellar, but an excellent value: firm, reassuring bright cherry colour, attractive nose of stewed plums, cinnamon and earthy tones, and a jolly, jammy mouthfeel with an elegantly mineral finish. Perfectly decent at this price.

Ripe, somewhat heady aromas of rich black cherry and raspberry with hints of white pepper, traces of oak, along with some floral suggestions. Palate is lush and well fruited but there isn't a lot of of structure or freshness and seems to particularly lack the tension one expects going from the midpalate into the finish. Not enough verve but the quality of fruit is impressive just the same. Fat and plump but still a bit awkward.

Dark red color. Grapey nose, with a hint of reduction. Not very forgiving on the palate. Grapey and spicy. Plenty of acidity and tannins. Not giving much at this point. B-

Sappy red cherry and black raspberry fruit with a whiff of pepper mark the nose here; somewhat gamay-like in its fruitiness today. Juicy and succulent on the palate, with the tannins and mild acidity taking a backseat today. In a likeable fruit forward style but not overdone. Good potential for the future.
