Needs a sold 2 hours to really open, but when it does its a fine expression of a Bordeaux blend, could have had more tannin in the mouth but overall still lively.

Dark ruby color, a good tone for its age. Modest nose with tannins and not a lot more happening on the palate. A medium bodied wine that was really good a few years back when I started drinking wines that I considered were on the medium to higher end. Today, despite the fact that it is holding up very well, it’s good , but not special.

Deep dark maroon color. Thick legs. Big, full nose showing mostly sweet berry fruit and a little warm earth. The initial palate is big and full bodied, it really coats the tongue and fills the mouth. Rich, ripe fruit emphasizing strawberries and cherries. The tannins are a little woody, there's some oak in the background but not too obtrusive. Long finish with some complexity. I'm not usually a fan of big bruiser wines, but despite the bigness of this bottle …

SOft, approachable cab with red berries, vanilla and some milk chocolate notes. Smooth right out of the bottle. Not very complex nor a very long finish. Good not great but very enjoyable.

Very elegant and rich. Chocolate on nose. Berries and woodiness on palate. Some tannins to fill mouth and some acid on finish but not a lot. Very changeable from taste to taste. Completely enjoyable.

Sadly, my last bottle of this wine. Pretty closed upon opening, particularly on the nose. After about two hours, this was opened a little more on the nose, but exploding on the palate. Over the course of the next hour, this wine was singing, in a restrained Bordeaux-like fashion. Med-full bodied, nice finish.

Similar to prior bottles - this wine needs some time to open and develop. Rich and full bodied berry flavors on the palate that carry over to a medium to long finish. Just a bit soft, but otherwise very nice. A bit like a right bank bordeaux., but not as complex.

Not much nose on this bottle. Rich, ripe dark berry/cherry flavors with a bit of tar. Medium body with smooth edges, very smooth tannins and a slightly acidic finish. Always seems that it has more merlot than cabernet. Nice flavors, but lacking enough structure for my palate. I am updating my note to acknowledge that after about an hour the wine became fuller and took on more structure. I am upping my score from an 89 to a 91.

Another nice bottle. Big, dark berry nose with a medium body, soft mouthfeel, smooth tannins and a a medium finish. Finishes with a bit of an acidic kick. Not a fruit bomb, but still fruit forward with rich dark berry and cherry flavors dominating. Has a bit more structure than some prior bottles, but still basically soft and velvety. Right bank bordeaux fans will like this one.

A nice dark berry flavored wine with a medium-full body with soft, smooth tannins. Rich, but not well structured. I found it to be velvety, but lacking the "iron fist" and complexity I would expect in a Cali cab.

Wonderful! Smooth integrated tannins, ripe fruit, notes of jam and tobacco. Even a rich buttery note.

a bit hot on the nose upon open, hints of leather oak and dark dark fruits. After some time in the glass the heat blows off. Tannic finish, coats your whole mouth with a smooth velvety dark flavor. Impressive cab at the price point, wish I had more.. far more.

Had many elements of a really good Cali cabernet. Rich, medium to full bodied, very dark color, smooth tannins. Flavor was very heavy on the blackberry with little else to add complexity. Soft edges, but balanced. Seemed like there was some merlot in it and it was very much in a bordeaux style. Very nice wine for the $, but lacking complexity and fruit to be first-rate.

Nice Bordeaux styled wine. Better after an hour or three decanting. A fine house wine, well liked by the crowd. Red fruit, hint of citrus.

Really showed well by the last glass, which was finished almost 4 hours after opening (no decant). Lots of semi-sweet fruit, with notes of licorice and mocha. Very well structured with firm but not intrusive tannins. Nice value from a great vintage.

nose was bright dark fruit, soil and licorice. in the mouth there was a sweetish taste and feel. the fruit did not come through in the mouth and there was a significant amount of tannins.

Very close in palate density to the Jarvis Lake William blend, but more opaque and red rather than the purple of the Jarvis. Berry, Cherry, Maple, Oak,and subtle mint were apparent in this wine this time. Better than I remembered and finishing with a long mineral and fruit that linger.
