A bit disappointed in this Cab. It was good - not great. Blackberries, leather, mocha and spice. Pretty fruit forward and linear. Not super complex although tannins were integrated. We just felt it was a bit “blah”.

Very dark and rich, unmistakably black currant on the nose and palate, but for me a bit muddled and not precise or complex. Easy to drink and tasty, just not anything special.

See previous note because it is perfect. Make sure to expose to air for at least two hours before drinking, otherwise a waste!

initial angry sour cherries and tannins blew off quickly and followed by elegant soft fruit with great length went well with lamb chop with a sweet soy reduction at S.K.Y.

Phenomenal. Perfect first sip; tastes like the smell of a wine barrel. Scotch on the nose. Big and ripe, but not fat. Huge.

Last wine of the night. Pop and pour, for another glass. Relatively fat, but not actually. Big, rich, sweet, polished, and expensive. My parents liked this on day two too.

2023 Napa; 2/5/2023-2/9/2023 (Napa with a connection in Houston) : Belle of the Ball. Red and black fruit is nice harmony, though young and somewhat tannic, this has potential as it ages and unfurls further. Most expressive nose of the wines we tasted today. Already bought. 95 today.

I think this needs more time because it was a little too tannic for me.

Decanted for a few hours. Gigantic wine with freshness that’s easily 100 points for many Napa wine lovers. Dense blue/black fruit, milk chocolate, mineral and spearmint. Obviously super young but ripe enough to be approachable now. Literally pitch black color.

Gigantic Napa CS as expected. It scratches that itch.

Great wine and certainly drinkable now. Lots of vanilla, which I did not identify before.

See previous note. However, given the tannic start, recommend a hold for now.

Exactly what I would expect for this price point from Napa. Big, rich, sweet, polished, and expensive. I prefer the Cabernet Franc, which is really special.

Popped and poured, but it definitely got better with time. Black cherries and blueberries on the nose and palate. A bit of spice and licorice. Good wine that will get even better with more time in the bottle.

Thanksgiving Napa tasting (Napa Grill (Zurich)) : Ripe and plush red and black currant with some herbal complexity. Sweet, sexy and enticing. Fresh and firmly structured, round and velvety but with limited complexity.

Really good Cab Franc. approachable, and ready to drink between now - next five years. that being said, price is a bit too high for me for a cab franc.

Very nice fruit forward wine. Could benefit for a 3 year hold. Light tannins. Cheers

Brought by a friend to dinner and popped and poured. We don’t drink many wines like this anymore, as we tend to find them very rich and big. This is a well made wine. The texture is very silky and alluring. The wine is rich but balanced. Very primary at this point, and this was preferred by those at the table that like young, fruity wines. I’d love to try this in 15-20 years.
