The XO has won gold as one of the finest cognacs in the world by the International Wine and Spirit Competition. You just never see any of the Polignac cognacs in the United States because as far as I know its not imported here, at least in any quantity. The IWSC notes: "A rich fruity bouquet underlined by fine oak. Antique shop and polished floor. The palate is warm and generous, lingering on toffee and exotic fruit. Dry oaky finish …
