Pours a groovy copper color, and then I get a shit-ton of golden raisins, as well as apricot, ginger, honey, and a slight tendency towards marmalade and beeswax. I was a bit terrified that the acidity wouldn’t be sufficient, but no, it absolutely held out. Very solid dessert wine.

Brought this to a wine dinner at First Culinary Restaurant with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Wines with the number One. Deep gold in colour. Lifted apricot marmalade with hints of toffee, sweetened candy and fig on the nose. On the palate, it's full of dried apricot, tangerines, and orange blossom honey. The Botrytis is quite prominent, with a lush mouthfeel. All the elements are in place, with the wine shining brightly and beautifully. Full of primary notes …

NobleRottersSydney - blind Chardonnay (Glass Brasserie, Sydney) : {screwcap, 10%} [Geoffrey] This wine always seems to show better from these 750ml bottles – this was very good. Copper and bronze aromas, tinged with vanilla bean. Adds caramel, honey and faint apricot on the palate. Medium weight and medium sweetness. Well-balanced palate, medium long finish; seemed better balanced that the 375ml from June last year. Close to peak though, even in this format.

Brought this to a wine dinner at Kam Boat Teochew Restaurant. Theme of the evening: Australian Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Blends: East meets West. Deep gold in colour with notes of beautiful honeysuckle on the nose. The apricot, roasted nuts, honey, and nectarine complete the profile of this wonderful dessert wine. A perfectly luscious way to end a beautiful evening. Enjoy it well chilled.

NobleRottersSydney - Aaron's Hunter Shiraz (Glass Brasserie, Sydney) : {375ml, screwcap, 10%} [Greg] Burnished, caramel, aged. Rich apricot, orange, cumquat. Balanced but verging on cloying, medium/full weight, medium length finish. Medium sweet. Lovely and decadent, and drink now.

Brought this wine to New Ubin Seafood (Stevens Road) for a lunch with the family and some family friends. We ordered the har cheong gai, Hong Kong gai lan special, Premium lamb rack special, chicken and pork satay, mud crab (garlic baked and salted egg), Black Angus 'Çhoice' rib-eye, claypot carbonara, and laksa siham. Gold in colour. Rich ripe peach, apricot, longan, lychee and sweet pineapples on the nose and palate, with lush honey and tangerines. One of the best …

By the glass pour. Light golden color. Scents of wood, apricot, and honey. Beautifully concentrated, moderately sweet tropical fruit enlivened by citrus zest and great acidity. Outstanding, highly enjoyable Sauternes look alike that provided a great end to the meal.

First thing you notice is the color… liquid golden nectar. A beautiful drop. Next, the nose…honeysuckle flowers surrounded by faint perfume. You can’t wait to taste it. Palate…. Thick honey and orange marmalade. Very yummy. Great paired with Portuguese Natas (egg tarts)!
