(17,5/20) Rich, energetic, great length. I love the Kabinett style Rieslings and Egon Müller is the king of this style. He makes his wines linger with fresh fruit and a mouthwatering acidity. Medium+ intense aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, green apple, lime, mandarin, nectarine, pineapple, wet stone, sea salt, tonic, honey. Lucky to have this wine. Orange blossom, green apple, white flower, peach, citrus, petrol, compelx, very fresh, vibrant, crisp, has some sweetness but not that sweet. Great balance. Amazing entry wine from legendary producer, Egon Müller. One of my best riesling I have ever had.

I know, a youngster but temptation got me. No regrets, this is succulent in all matters. The nose is full of fresh nectar citrus fruits and candied citrus which continues into the palate. Already written here yet I can confirm the lightness of the wine. Or the peppyness is more accurate. Sharp,very balanced and saltyness that lingers. It's expensive and there are more cheap superb Kabi's but this certainly adds one more level.

P&P Opened up right away, not problematically reduced White peaches, pronounced minerality, a fruit that smelled blue-hued. Extremely mineral. The overall effect is subtle, light, and precise rather than super-concentrated On the drier side of off-dry (feinherb levels of perceptive sweetness) due to the acidity.To be honest, it’s dry. At Home with friends. This wine (AP 2-20) opened beautifully tonight with a pale green gold colour and a nose of white peach, cherry, lemonade fruit and spring flowers in the rain. The palate was feather light yet nicely intense with a zesty finish that lingered with a lovely line of fruit coating the mineral and grape acid components. Very young and now best left alone for 4-6 years at least !

Korta noter från minnet Välbalanserad kabinett med mycket reduktiva aromer och fin syra. Massor av krut, bränt gummi och stenfrukter. Lång eftersmak och har tiden framför sig. Passade fantastiskt bra till otoro med Almas caviar och havskräfta. Denna är givetvis alldeles för ung och kommer garanterat klättra några poäng i framtiden.

Bought a bottle at Trier for a try, frankly not showing much complexity in this young phase, a lot of elegance and fruity sweetness of stone fruit, full of tension and well structured acidity, very long, yes, there are lots of other great Kabinett bottles around at the M-S-R zone, so I would not buy again for this high price, in my opinion you pay too much only for the reputation of this label! *(**-?)

Académie des Cinquante Moselle / Ahr Tasting (Restaurant De Burgemeester *, Linschoten, Netherlands) : Pure, precise, mineral and elegant, light as a feather but intense, steely Saar acidity even in this riper vintage, beautifully balanced, real finesse and length.

Tasted at Kin Khao. Nose of flowers and fruits, honeyed apples with a pure texture. Beautiful slicing angular structure and acidity.

Thai at Dural : AP #5. Smoke, lemon, orange rind and peach. Some definite fruit richness that is carried well with a tangy acidity. The residual sugar is apparent but not the dominating force. A real moreish quality about it and good length. Very young still, I'll try to hold onto my next bottle for as long as I can!

I must confess I have a weakness for this kind of wines, because they succeed in achieving a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity and also have an excellent value for money. Clean greenish yellow with golden glint. Papaya, burn tyres (typical from this wines), herbal and sweet aromas, creamy and fresh. I liked this better than most of the other guys. Tasted blind I thought it was an Auslese from the sweetness and weight. I like the purity here and the honesty to the terroir. The nose was very pretty too. A confident wine.
