This bottle was so much better than the other 2 I bought along side it. The others matched many of the ratings below being thin and very light colored, but not much after that. This bottle had a huge nose right upon opening and drank much bigger, but still refined - the color was even much darker. If I could guarantee more were like the last one, I might buy more.

I like this. A bit more understated than other CA Cabs, and in a nice way.

I was looking for a full-bodied Cab to go with a steak dinner & this did not deliver. There was not much mouth feel and same with the finish. While the nose was promising, it was more of a tease. Overall this was a light to medium cab. Although the label says it "is complex" we did not find it so. There are too many cabs to try for me to buy this again.

P&P. Moderate depth bouquet of cassis, some blackberry, bit of bell pepper, and some vanillin oak. After 15-20 min the bell pepper faded from the nose and at times in its place were notes of milk chocolate. Rich and fruity on the palate with cassis and sweet red cherries on entry, transitioning to currant, cranberry and some earthiness in the mid. Finishes with red fruits and oak emerging for a long aftertaste. Medium acid, round medium soft tannins. Overall a …

No doubt a new world style with smoky, black cherry and chocolate. Very tannic right now, needs time.

Wood flavor-grape juice! What a terrible thing...

Rose hips and a little candy nose. Cherry, crayon, leather...kind of a funky palate. Dense. Good, but off beat.

Popped and decanted...then immediately served. The initial nose has that 'cheap cabernet' smell I usually detect in sub-$10 bottles. Not a good first impression. Lots of oak chips. Fortunately, in the mouth it's not bad. There is perceptible oak along with raspberry and cherry. A bit simple, with the fruit/oak a bit overpowering...Not a bad wine overall, but for the ~$14 I'd rather try something else.
