Had at Cecco Ristorante in Solvang CA. Upon opening, the wine had an aggressive earthiness and angular acidity, but there was enough fruit to suggest that the wine would come together. With a little air and the wonderful vibrant flavors of the food, the fruit really came to fore and very pleasantly rounded out the wine. Bold aromas of cherry, even raspberry and mineral/rainwater. Med+intensity of aromas. Mid palate depth!! Palate is very firm and and solid. Legs, force, and enough concentration. Palate is not full, but still buxom. The buxom that makes you stand up and offer compliments.

A bit green and harsh, maybe a touch corked? Very mean on the back end.

Fantastic bottle of chianti for $20. bold fruit, good mid palate weight and still old world charm with a kiss of herbal vivacity in the under carriage. Taut and vibrant structure. Nice new label and a great step over the 06.

Restaurant pop and pour. Very drinkable right out of the bottle. Assumed it had a good dose of non-traditional grapes but confirmed it's 95/5, Sangiovese/Canaiolo. Fairly low intensity simple red fruit but pleasant and pretty. Easy drinking by CC standards with a nice expanding middle, snappy acidity and no/very light tannin. Slight astringency appears at the end of the bottle. Enjoyable and easy going.
