The question is whether this wine and vintage has spoiled, or whether it was poorly made in the first place. Looking at the other reviews, it appears to be the 2nd. As one reviewer pointed out, the finish is long and terrible --- it is a metallic, sharp, bitter taste, essentially undrinkable.

Colour: translucent plum red Nose: plum, blackcurrant jam, cassis. Bitter cocoa. Sweet spice, maybe some old oak. Slightly savoury edge? Slight hint of salinity? Palate: plum, blackberry, blackcurrant jam, cassis. Bitter cocoa. Savoury oak, sweet spice. Some salinity. Fresh berry like acidity; firm, fine grained tannins, structural. Decent, perfectly drinkable, but maybe lacks some complexity? Medium bodied, 13,5% alcohol. Seal: cork.
