Alliance Loire Saumur Collection Philippe Faure-Brac

Rather disappointing for a wine bearing the signature of a former World's Best Sommelier. The nose give promise of complex aromas of white and citrus fruit but these are less evident on the palate where emphasis is on crispness, tension and strong saline backbone giving rise to a dried out sensation and a deficit in charm, which a recent Château Yvonne Saumur had in spades. Quite good.
