Monumental champagne to close off a great dinner night. Probably would have been best served at the start, but not many occasions to try this one. If you can find it, drink it!

Hate to do this but I have to refer to CSIMM’s note below as it’s both entirely spot on and I’m in the midst of a champagne tasting assault and am close to useless. I will add that this is casually MASSIVE. Maybe bottled at 2-3 atmospheres, which helps this be sneaky in terms of depth. Suddenly you realize how much there is here and it’s freaking glorious. Be sitting down when tasting.

Another success from Adrien Dhondt’s namesake label, the Blaise Oger sports a beautiful core of yellow, green, and white fruit and mineral elements that make for an excitingly fresh and full profile. Dinner with winemakers (Po restaurant) : 100% C, vines planted 1964, bottled: May 2019, Disgorged Feb 22, Dosage: 1.5g/l. Exploding aromas of citrus, honeysuckle, complex on the palate with med body with minty long finish. Prefer this to the Nogers as this had the edge on the nose.
