Clear light yellow. Fresh stone fruit and lime nose. Dry lemon-lime flavours and a light dry finish. In very good condition after over a decade in bottle.

A youthful bottle in great shape, likely due to it having a DIAM cork.

Definitely thinning out and not as fruitful as I remembered

This is still a very enjoyable wine if you like aged white Bordeaux, especially from a QPR perspective. I was separated from my storage for 5 years, otherwise I probably wouldn't have any left, but it was a very pleasant surprise. For the first hour or so the nose was pungent, lots of beeswax, and a little worrisome. But the mouthwatering acidity convinced me to give it a chance. An hour later I'm wishing I had a case left rather …

Holding up very well at this point. Pleasure to consume last night.

Initially the fruit was a little muddled, and I couldn't find clarity with this wine. But after 30 minutes, the wine showed more focus. A good example of a Sauvignon Blanc, this was all lemon and grass. With all of its power, I would say that it could used more of an elegant touch. But you can't deny the fantastic QPR that these wines deliver.

Nose of white flowers, nectarine, lemon custard and grass. All well integrated with subtle oak on the palate. Leads to a long finish, dry finish. Beautifully mature and well balanced acidity. Served with flounder.

Lemon, melon and green onion notes with a touch of bread. A step up from last time I tried - more complexity and balance.

Held this one back for a while to see if it improved with additional aging or not. I didn't seem to change which is better than degrade. Nice bargain bottle. Pleasant enough with enough acid to make it somewhat distinctive and a cut about most of the New Zealand competitors in this price range.

I finally got around to my other bottle (see tasting note 05/12/14), once again, very good. Grass and lemon/lime prominent.

Similar previous notes with the exception of a bitter twinge of unintegrated oak on the finish. Great with cheeses and salumi.

Initially didn't care for it. Almost thought it had turned. Left in fridge overnight. 24 hours later, it's really developed complexity. This is an ager.

More than a year since having the last bottle. This wine has taken on a slightly darker (tannish) appearance and developed brown sugar notes--most likely from the oak used. Very nice IMHO. Still lots of acidity that will sustain it for a few more years.

Beautiful citrus, mixed with a bit of orange rind, lemon, leather, and hints of mushrooms. Able to stand up to quite acidic foods for a substantial amount of time. Lovely wine. Quite enjoyable. Great QPR!

Really nice nose of citrus flowers, chives, kiwi, and fresh cut hay. On the palate, lush with lychee, lemongrass, grapefruit, and chive. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice saline element. Longish finish with nice balance. I would be drinking these over the next 2-3 years, they are ready to go.

Aromas of white flowers, nectarine, melon, pear and lemon. Melon, pear, stone fruit, citrus, toasted oak and mineral on the palate. Leads to a very long, soft, dry finish. Excellent mineral character and acidic balance. Paired with grilled shrimp and coconut, mango rice.

This wine is holding up well. Complex nose with slight oxidative elements. Good acidity, lemon, lime, smooth and rich back end. Excellent.

Aromas of nectarine, pear, lemon and lime. Stonefruit, apple, lemon, lime, crème brûlée and toasted oak on the palate. Leads to a long, crisp dry finish. Good acidic balance and mineral character. Once again an excellent QPR. Paired with grilled chicken with spinach and feta cheese.

more balanced with a little time in the bottle and it is drinking very well right now. Floral nose, austere palate. Medium finish.

Lemon, orange blossom, minerality, tastes like it has a little semillon in it.

A little age has made this an even more compelling wine, with lean pear and lemon fruit, plenty of minerality and acidity, and a surprising creamy texture I associate more with Semillon than SB (of which this is 100%). Wish I had more of this vintage.
