Heritance Sauvignon Blanc

The first bottle was fantastic, the second bottle was undrinkable due to heavy oxidation from a poor fitting cork, and this bottle is simply over the hill. I suppose that is to be expected when purchasing an MSRP $40 bottle of 6 year old SB at $7. Finished it after 3 days. It was consistent, if somewhat weak and flabby with an off aftertaste.

I could tell from the color it had heavily oxidized. One sip confirmed it. Cork seemed a bit weak and the bottle had lost some liquid for sure. Flawed.

I am absolutely astonished at the price I got these bottles for -truly an incredible value. An age-worthy Sauv Blanc from Napa with robust notes of honeyed peach, grapefruit, lemon zest, and pineapple. Just fantastic. Day 2 It's a little muted and chalky, but considering its age that's to be expected after 24+ hours.
