Milan Nestarec Blaufränkisch JIL Jung

Can't say i've been particularly impressed with Nestarec's stuff so far but this one surprised me. On the nose it's quite a lot like Zweigelt with a strong black pepper note, as well as a little greenness which I don't mind. This follows through on the palate with a bit more focus on black fruit and a distinct graphitey note that brings Bordeaux to mind. It's also quite concentrated with good intensity and length.
