A well-balanced cab. Smooth tannins with notes of cherry. Went very well with venison medallions.

Nice wine. Noticed some currant and tar.

Quite big but has some uplift and sensibility about it. Still young enough and be interesting to see what a few years may do Traditional black fruits - good acidity quite a long finish

Decanted for over two hours. Then double decanted. A beautiful dark purple hue with swirls of magenta and well formed legs. A captivating nose of dark fruit, berries, florals and black loam. On the palate, this wine is a perfect balance of power and finesse, showcasing flavors of juicy blackberry, florals, black forest cake, subtle vanilla oak and black loamy soil. Decanted briefly. Beautiful acid dominates this silky, well-crafted gem along with fine tannins and notes of earth and cassis. Worth seeking out.

Three hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Blue flowers, fresh raspberry, blackberry, madeleine, poppyseed, toasted ciabatta, and subtle mint. Very dry palate, with fine acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. Great complexity and integration here. It’s slightly Bordeaux-esque, which isn’t always my favorite, but this was really good.

3 hr open bottle & 3 hr decant. Shut down on the nose - sense of aluminum can. Sone red fruit on front palate, high, grippy tannins, high acid. Short, flat finish. Let sit for a few more hours, same result except for a bit more red fruit on the tongue. Put cork in half-full bottle and back into 55 deg overnight Day 2: 30 mins in glass at room temp. Had the privilege of experiencing this wine with Bo and Heidi Barrett on an Antarctic cruise. Had this in a flight with Heidi`s La Sirena 2014 cabernet sauvignon. Both wines were exceptional but the Barrett & Barrett was definitely the WOTN. A perfect pairing witj beef tenderloin. It was popped and poured as Heidi stated that's how it should be served, not decanted. Absolutely delicious.
