We are drinking this actively because CT says it is too old. It isn’t. Everything you might want in a Napa Red Blend.

somewhat earthy, not too fruit forward...didn't really like.

Blind vertical tasting featuring the '10, '11 and '12 vintages. The '11 came in third. Late submission so no details other than you could taste the problems Napa had with the '11 vintage. Seemed over extracted.

Popped and poured / not decanted. This is good to go now, but could go another 5 or so easily. Ripe cherry, minerals, some herb notes. Fine tannins and a moderate finish. Satisfying, and not overdone.

Mouth feel is soft, daily, a bit chewy. Tannins gentle after decanting, but not overwhelmed by other flavors. Cherries, dry leaves, bitter chocolate, mushrooms, a bit of smokiness. Very well balanced - good to drink alone or with food.

this is really impressing me. Give it an hour decant or more and it's really complex with a medium body - will go toe to toe with wines that are almost twice the price

Medium red color, spicy dark cherries on the nose. Silky mouthfeel. Could use more aging. Smooth balanced finish

Needs a little time to breathe and mature. Going to let the next 5 bottles rest

Medium(+)-deep ruby, slow moving, slightly tainted [email protected]% abv. Medium aroams fo blueberries, cedar, burnt wood, vanilla notes, dried leaves. Dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium dry tannin, medium(+)-high alcohol with residual heat, medium(+) body. Concentrated flavors of blueberries, raisins, bitter chocolate, savory notes, espresso. Sinewy texture with slightly burnt mouthfeel. Well balanced fruit and savory flavors. Good length with dry, slightly chalky tannins providing great food finish. With 14 oz medium-rare cowboy steak @ Lynn's.
