Andretti Syrah Napa Valley

Not a hint of oxidation- still a very fruit forward cab

One Word to describe this wine: Awesome, amazing, classic, bold, balanced, deep, long lasting flavor, aromatic. and one final comment: "This is why I love Napa Cabs".

Wasn't expecting much (bias against name fame" despite Mario being aneighbor... but this was quite good. Nice nose, rich blueberry and blackberry fruits with a little earthy finish. Tannis were pretty soft... not sure how much longer this will hold or improve, but it is drinking nicely now.

Agree with everything the reviewer said above. Nice berry flavors, and the wine opens up after a bit, but not a lot of herbal flavors and maybe a tad hot. That all being said, I got a case of this for $75 for my wedding. At $6.25 a bottle, this gets a 96!

Dark red. A little heavy on the oak, however this either blew off after a while or I got used to it. Flavors of dark berries, esp. blueberries, blackcurrant. Not a lot of complexity or herbal component. Finish is long and enjoyable. Tannins are firm, but not bitter over too strong.

Opened this a year too early. Fruit and oak on the nose, but fairly tight. Fruit forward, balanced with oak on the mid palate, decent finish with fairly heavy tannins. Nice wine with good potential. Day 2 this wine still has nice fruit. The mouth feel and oak are now similar to a cab / syrah blend. Still shows very good potential to hang onto this for a few years.
