Super reductive on the nose (plastic, pool toys). Thankfully, that blew off after 40 minutes and was replaced with ripe red cherries, red plums, cumin, colatura di alici and barnyard (which thankfully never gets too overpowering). Overall smells fruit driven, with a medium + intensity of aromas. GREAT purity of fruit. The palate is lead by ripe red plums, followed by black licorice, Mediterranean scrub, new leather and black licorice. Overall primary; but there's something deep and soulful here too. …
