My first pre-mox 2014 white Burgundy

Fully mature. Very rich, ripe and round. Apricot and peach. Just barely adequate acidity. Easy and fun to drink.

Absolutely delightful and much enjoyed by the Swirlmasters. Still youthful; very fresh, no oxidation, premature or otherwise. Light yellow. Lots of lime and pear. Suave and delicious. Perhaps it will fill out in the years to come but it’s fun to catch it now in its frisky adolescence.

More backward than before, coiled and fine, yet not austere. It improves as it warms to give a hint of its future greatness.

My first Lucien Le Moine Burgundy and I am impressed. As advertised, there is power and volume, creating an almost oily consistency. Remarkable complexity at this infant stage with flavors of Anjou pear and nut skin. Faint aroma of hay at first eventually yielding unusual scents of coconut and white chocolate. Intriguing.
