Very ripe and buttery nose- toasty with vanillla, pear and lemon. On the palate this chard was more in the strain of a mersault than a chassagne... and then even, not so typically burgundy with its big ripe fruit and barrel presence. Surprisingly rich for an '04 with baked yellow orchard fruits and lemon curd notes framed by baking spices and vanillin (oak) with light wet stone.
