decent entry level basic cab. competes well with others in its price range.

A nose of sweet dark fruit, purple in color. A medium bodied Cab, some dark fruit, some spice, not all that complex, decent for the price.

First off I'd like to say that the this wine is a decent wine for this price. I'd much rather pay the 11.99 for this cab then many other of the same price point. However, this is a very "middle-of-the-pack" effort, and the Other Guys seem to have priced it as such. I've been house sitting for my sister here in Iowa while she's on vacation in California, and have taken advantage of the opportunity to sample some of the lower-priced Cabernets at the local grocery chain, wines that are not generally available where I live. This is one of the better ones I've found. It is actually quite nice, a good Cab in a lighter style. Very soft, round, fruity wine. There's not much acidity to balance the fruit, and little underlying structure, so it comes across as rather flabby, with a touch of sweetness. More of a quaffer than a food-friendly wine. Not awful, but not what I look for in a Cabernet.

Good candied strawberry on the nose. Good crowd pleaser for $10.

Excellent Cabernet for the money
