90 minute decant allowed the massive tannins to smooth out a bit. 60F. Deep ruby color, no edging. Lovely nose of earthy truffle, eucalyptus, violets, dark chocolate, tobacco and blackberry fruit. Loved the nose on this wine and spent a lot of time just inhaling it and enjoying the notes that presented themselves. Black raspberry fruits, violets, shaved cocoa with polished, sweet tannins almost opaque in color with aromas of truffle, black cherry, and licorice. Great mouthfeel across mid palate. Should drink well for 3-5 years or more.

Very good wine. Tastes more expensive than it is.

This is young and needs time. Gave it a 2 hour decant. Opened up nicely but I won't be tempted to open another bottle for a few years. This was the Reserve Bottling, not the regular. There's a substantial difference. This one has a lot going for it typical of a Napa Cabernet. Hope I live long enough to see it reach its peak. It has all the superlatives normally associated with a top tier Napa Cabernet.

First vintage for this wine and a pleasant surprise. Dark ruby fruit - dark cherry, currants, blackberry, and dark raspberry. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration especially for the price point. The tannins are incorporated quite well for such a youthful cab. Nice rich flavors of dark berries, some baking spices, and cocoa. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Improved a little with time but drinking well right away despite its youth. At least …
