September 1,2 & 3 Right out of the bottle this displayed intense aromas of cherry lip gloss and potting soil, on the palate I also found some cola and cinnamon and stemmy flavors, although I’m not sure if they do a partial whole cluster maceration. The acidity is just right, the tannins are fine and dusty, the finish is fairly long. It was best on the second night, the third night it started to display some mushroomy / nutty oxidized …

Consumed over two nights, with the second being better than the first. Pluses and minuses to this wine. On the plus side, this is a serious effort for a winerys entry level offering. Its well balanced and complex. For me, the negatives are in the profile, with the cherries being to sour for my liking. I would expect that this would soften with another year or two in the bottle.

I'm exploring pinot noirs and really love the ones from Willamette Valley, Oregon. This one is definitely at the top of my favorites from this region. Smooth wine. Great QPR at ~$30. Would buy again.
