Domaine Albert Seltz Sylvaner Mittelbergheim

Nice wine. With expectations of a riesling style, I was not disappointed. Citrus fruit, with some of that Alsatian mouthfeel. Not as spicy as the Gewuztraminer, but fits into the gap between it and the riesling nicely.

Pale yellow. Honey nose. Papaya in the mouth. Long finish of mild white pepper. Paired well with tarte de chevre.

Very Sylvaner! Honeyed guava-papaya with a talcum minerality in the finish.
