LRD Ladies - Meursault 2017 Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck - Asia Square) : Very pale straw, and daybright. Nose fairly restrained, showing more of cool wet rocks, and then the vanilla spices, then a bit of ripe peach and candied lemons. Very soft and silky on the palate, with smooth acids, and even somewhat creamy, then some cinnamon and vanilla, and medium ripe peach, wet stones, and hints of walnuts. Medium length

Excellent wine. Love the minerality on this one.

It’s got some fruit up front with the right amount of acidity and then some minerals on the finish. Very enjoyable.

Custard and creamy aroma, a hint of pineapple, very pleasant aroma. On the palate, high acidicity, burned caramel, cream brûlée, decent finish. $30 from costco. Seems like a good buy.

Definitely a well stored and well aged bottle, but that's about as far as I'll go. Very mild tertiary notes (maybe a little nuttiness), which was surprising for a wine of it's age. Acidity still there. Very little offered on the front and middle of the wine--basically like an overripe but not sweet honeydew melon. Some guava and pear as it opened. Finish redeemed the wine--was long, honeyed, and multifaceted.

Good showing from my last bottle. Integrated and bright profile with savory core.

Drinking well, but demands food. Nutty bass notes and still bright citrus. Fleshed out and concentrated. At its peak.

More oxidative tones than a year ago. Fruit and surprisingly even the mineral were notably diminished. Perhaps an off-bottle. Will need to open another soon and check.

Funny how it shows more round and luxurious after a bright sparkler. Another very good, versatile showing.

Airtime integrates the wine and quells any disjointed characteristics. I was really struck by the 30-40 second, mineral driven finish on this bottle. Another excellent showing. Remains compelling to the last.

Seemingly contradictory profile, but excellent nonetheless. Bright citrus-like characteristics are almost more reminiscent of Chablis, especially considering the vintage. But Meursault characteristics begin to show on the mid-palate. Mineral gains momentum and drives the finish as the wine gains complexity. Continues to improve for hours. Makes me think that this could actually be a more honest expression of good Meursault terroir than the super barrel-influenced luxury wines that are normally held up as the benchmark.
