Red and dark fruit, dried strawberry, dried raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, red currant, dried cherry, rose petal, herbal notes, cedar, tobacco, spices, black pepper, black tea, and stony minerality, with medium(+) acidity, round, well-integrated tannin, and very good length. At $60, this is wildly expensive for a Langhe Nebbiolo, especially one from a brand new producer. And yet...this wine is gorgeous. To me, it's worth the money. Pours a translucent garnet with a watery rim, just as a young Nebbiolo should. So fragrant- rich florals, mixed fresh red berries, sour cherries, orange zest. Gorgeous Nebbiolo masking as Cotes de Nuits Pinot. Has the beauty and precision of the RAEN wines but not the stems. Purity is the story here - and spicy, red fruit. Can happily drink now but will go years I suspect - and mess with blind tasters everywhere!
