Decanted for two hours. Expression excellent right from the beginning but came to me at dinner hour.. Fruit berries, ……currants specifically are tasty. Cloves and spices. Soft tannins. Some wines need a lengthier time in the bottle or longer decant. Enjoyable with Spanish chicken.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), forest floor, medium toast, coconut, oak, vanilla, cinnamon and clove. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Decanted 2 hours. Upon decanting aroma of tight rich cherries. Initial pour presents a nose of light tar, led pencil, strong plums w/good legs. Flavor of heavy plums, soft leather w/exceptionally balanced finish. Served with duck pate appetizer & entree of Pesto mozzarella chicken. As wine continued to open the pairing went well.
