Quinta de Quercus Uclés Single Vineyard

This wine comes from 30 year old vines from two parcels 800m above sea level apparently. Deep blood red in the glass, this shows a lovely, juicy nose of fleshy red berries with just a touch of vanilla and a certain sweetness. This impression carries over to the palate which shows sweeter fruit and less obvious oak than a typical Rioja for example. Overall quite delicious and for about £17, excellent value. 35000 bottles produced.
