Medium ruby color with aromas of ripe raspberries, blueberries, and some background herbal notes. Medium body and flabby with some tart fruit, especially cherries. Was enjoyable on day 1 but fell off a cliff on day 2, leaving only some astringency and some artificial tasting sweetness. Drink now and fast.

This bottle of 2014 Red Diamond Merlot was surprisingly drinkable. I thought it would be vinegar by now, but it actually had plenty of characters on it. Earthy and red fruit on a nose with similar characteristics on the palate with tannins left. There's some astringency on the back end but very minimal.

Not particularly complex, but fruity and easy drinking.

In a word; Agreeable. Not necessarily Friendly and not in the conversation of Delicious, but nothing particularly bad stood out. Tasted kind of like a mid-level suburbanite restaurant Red, poured by the glass. We have been enjoying Washington State Red Diamond for over a decade... In general, it doesn't disappoint, it just gives you what you already know it was- at this price point- but it is a good QPR. TRY IT.

Fleming's Walnut Creek Fifty Tastes One Night. Nose of cassis, dark fruit, and tea leaves, more of the same on the palate, very soft, light body, almost tasty, very simple, light finish.

It tastes like diacetyl (butter), raspberry and cherry. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.

A nose of some fruit and spice, medium ruby in color. A medium bodied red, with cherry, plum and some spice, a little thin for a Washington State red. www.winelx.com
