On the nose there is apple, lime and some tropical fruit in the background. On the palate this wine has nice balance in the acidity and round oak tannins that compliment the wines lively tartness. Enough complexity so that it all works together nicely for an interesting and refreshing glass of chardonnay. Tasted at the winery.

Santa Cruz Mountain Trip (Windy Oaks, Alfaro Family, Big Basin) : Tasted at the winery. Nice straw yellow color. Incredible aromas of pear, tropical fruit, and honey. Very crisp on the palate, it’s just a nice big kick of acidity right from the outset. Great flavor of vanilla, pear, and green apple.
