Beautiful wine still drinking great. Straightforward palate of lemon and saline--not a lot of complexity, but great texture and a lasting acidity with a long, zingy mineral finish. Very nice wine.

Medium gold colour. Fresh nose of pear and lemon - a bit like champagne. Buttery texture with some hints of caramel, followed by fresh saline then lemon. The finish is lengthy with good acidity.

Paired with homemade shrimp and veggie Pho. Enjoyed over 2-3 hours. Rich and round for a Chablis. Mature and was enjoyable from the initial removal of the screwcap during meal prep until the final glass well after dinner. This bottle showed very well and I'm adding it to the "buy more" list from this producer. I should have one more buried downstairs somewhere. Drink.

Classic Chablis. Nose of crisp white fruit, sea breeze, and minerals. Lean and crsip with juicy, driving acids. Easy drinking and a good value.

A racy version of Chablis, with lots of textbook notes of lemon, apple and peach, with plenty of acidity on the finish; Lacks an extra gear of complexity to take it to the next level, but very satisfying for the price

A private lunch (The Mariners Public House, Rock, Cornwall, UK) : Youthful, iridescent, green-tinged white golden colour; intensely mineral nose, lemon zest, aromatic green herbs, good depth; on the palate there is a wonderful zingy acidity, married to impressive mineral power, energy and drive, with notes of lemon and lime and a hint of salted butter; excellent length. Not the most refined or subtle of wines, but it makes up for this in sheer Chablisity and frankness of expression. A …

Textbook Chablis and a reminder of why I love this region. The Les Vaudevey premier cru is located just West of the village of Chablis in a cool, narrow valley. That translates to a wine with crispness, piercing minerality, and just enough body to tie everything together. This is a wine that craves food...and I'm craving more bottles of it.

90-91. Screwcap (enlightened!) Seems OK at first. Then not so as greenish aromas come with air. Oaky favours. A bit short.

Enjoyed at the Wines that Rock in Park City. With food it had great flavor. Little taste before the food.

Lovely aroma but a rather bitter mouthfeel. Overall, it really felt like a champagne without mousse. So strong and lacked some charm.

Light pale color, nose is initially sulfur that blows off in five minutes, leaving a fullish invite to a mouth that is sweet on entry, fruit that is generous, broad and slippery, round and nutty buttery without suggesting wood, the malo has acted upon it, acid available and ample too, giving a united package that will be easy to empty the bottle like a Meursault villages, maybe not as seductive but still delicious.

Light gold. Classic Chablis nose of lemon, ginger, and oyster shell. Tart, delineated, and offering incredible grip and energy in the mouth, this is like a benchmark village Chablis and I mean that as a compliment to this premiere cru fruit.

Stone fruits like peach, minerals and tarragon on the nose in a delicate and fresh style. Lovely palate with a long and crisp finish.

Classic Chablis that is open for business. Nice QPR here, great complexity for the price point. Beautiful salinity and minerality, balanced. Very nice.

Nose of crushed rock, smoke, and lemon pith. Nice energy, slowly unfolds with mineral and citrus flavors. Drink now.

Domaine Laroche Chablis w/ Gwenael Laroche (Houston) : From a very steep, relatively unknown 1er cru. Lemon oil and crushed rocks on the nose. Very sharp, linear, and high acid, but the wine does broaden out a bit on the palate with a beautiful mouthfeel and texture. Lemon-lime and hint of nuttiness on the palate with a noticeable energy and tension that makes this an exciting and intellectual drink. The finish is long with a pleasant bitterness and herbal note.
