Roasted green peppers and fruit on the nose, fairly fruit forward through the palate. Soft finish, decent structure, almost no tannins to speak of. Good QPR at $5.00.

nice structure/balance for a wine this inexpensive...soft black fruit flavors, but blend with good acid and some tannin...what I would call typical CA cab franc flavor profile...not to fruity or rich, but still and enjoyable wine

Not a bad wine. No formal notes but for this price point, I was not offended and would probably drink again. I do remember the Cab Franc overpowering the Merlot and that may turn some people off.

Pleasant, fruity nose characteristic of Cab Franc, but otherwise watery and bland.

Fairly muddy, strange tasting (sausage?). Definitely not worth the $4.99 it costs.

Spicy nose - pepper and dark fruit with some earthiness. Sour cherries with spice on the flavor profile. Tame tannins, dry finish. Solid everyday table wine.

Good wiine for the price. Earthy and spicy. If you like Cab Franc, this is a good weekday table wine.

The California Plonk Party. Popped this on election night. Wasn't too impressed at first, but I'll give it time to breathe and see how it develops.

synth cork; an everyday red with a difference -- cab franc. Noticeable varietal characteristics like spices, cloves comes through. Not a lot of depth or complexity, though.

Bought again looking for the clove bouquet, but got more of a fresh forest impression this time. Nice. Some of the softness of the Merlot was evident as well. Unfortunately, the finish just isn't there and there's a bite of heat despite the relatively low ABV. Refreshing wine nonetheless, and a great value.

Lighter bodied wine with a spice box bouquet of cloves and lavender. More to the herbaceous side, but not aggressively so. Alcohol is well integrated. Decent finish. I definitely like this as a more subdued, reserved wine for the $5 price as it expresses some nice Cabernet Franc characteristics. It's a good change of pace from typical CA fruit bombs, but it lacks true complexity and structure.
