Continues to improve with age. When first opening it is quite acidic, but a short period to breathe make all the difference. Looking forward to watching it age.

Somewhat run-of-the-mill Napa cab, meaning “it’s pretty good.” There’s no particular distinction, rather it fits in the easy drinking category. Pleasing enough, just not very complex, and approaching over-extracted.

Starts big but doesn’t hold up - still much better with more time in the bottle, seems likely to keep improving

This wine seems to be in a developing stage. It struck me as a recipe just before you add the final ingredient. It had nice blue and dark fruit and a round mouth. It is a solid wine now, and I expect it to gain a few quality points in time.

Starting to come around nicely. Blackberry, currant, cherry, baking spice, tobacco. Another year or two and this will be in prime form.

I put this on the table for our wine group blind tasting and it was the third favorite wine of the 6 bottles tasted.

This opaque crimson wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours, during which time it continued to evolve. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cab Franc, 3% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, it delivers a classic mix of black currant and dark cherry fruit that is accented with graphite, dried herbs, tobacco and mulling spices. Full-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14.8%), judiciously oaked and with ample sweet tannins, it stays solid in the middle and finishes …

Easy to drink, very enjoyable - won't be writing any novels about it, but would happily pay the $35 it cost me again.

Agree that it is too early to assess but was not impressed. Flavors seemed all over the place and unstructured. Need to wait at least a few years to see if it all comes together.

Strawberry and cedar on the nose. On the palate, blackberry and dark fruit with a strong coconut note from the oak, with some savory spice and moderate tannins on the medium finish, with good acidity. This was better the second day, with less oak showing, although it was still lacking in complexity. The Cellartracker drinking window looks much too early - this needs three to five years to evolve and absorb the oak.

This opaque crimson wine is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Medium-to-full-bodied and freshly acidic, it is packed with black and red fruits that are augmented with notes of dark chocolate, truffle, dried herbs and baking spices. The tannins are plentiful but fine-grained, while the oak and alcohol (listed as 14.9%) are equally well-integrated. Dense on the mid-palate and finishing with good length, this is an irresistible Cab that should provide …

This bottle 1 point better than the last for me but it took 2-3 hours of air to get there. Maybe really a 91.5? Red fruit a little thin on opening but both the nose and the taste profile improved over time. Still just a bit of alcohol wafting from the glass at hour 2 as it warmed up to room temp. Very worth the price point. Interesting to note that almost all the overbearing oak noted only 4 months …

Feels thinner in the mouth than most cabs. Pleasant red fruit, soft edge to the fruit but tannins still grippy and astringent and the oak still fairly strong. To me, this needs some time to integrate further.

Heavy on the oak at the pnp…...needs at least an hour of air to really come together. Medium weight at most in the mouth, soft, sweet integrating tannins. Lots of vanilla. The oak is a bit much until you let it get 1-2 hours of air then it recedes to an acceptable level. You can't rush this wine! Has a soft, 'feminine' side to it.....not a blockbuster to those used to drinking $100 cabs, but great value for the $$$. …

The perfect bottle of wine for watching GOT reruns......this bottle more than others, very strong on the wood, overpoweringly so. Kinda like watching the Dragons torch everything in sight....lots of char. Not much fruit in this bottle, not much subtlety either. Lots of iron on the backend. Quite appropriate for the evening......

Unimpressed. Maybe more time will serve it well, but just not singing right now. Plums and stewed meats. Pretty hot still. Acids need to calm down. Not sure there will be much here after aging.

We've enjoyed ACVV wines since visiting the winery about 5 years ago. Nose of dark fruits (blackberry, dark cherry, blueberry), spice, black licorice, earthiness and espresso. Firm and mouth filling on the palate with the fruit, spice and earthiness coming through. Tannins rear up on the lingering finish. Very enjoyable and was great with grilled NY Strip.

Full bodied with some heavy handed oak treatment. Strangely the coloration was very light (almost Pinot like). Palate was what I expected and massive. Decent steakhouse pour but definitely don’t want a cellar of this.

For $35, this is a great wine. Nice cherry notes mixed with slate and fennel. On the palate it's balanced with nice acidity and a soft tannic grip. Sure it doesn't have the intensity or concentration of more expensive wines but $35 for Napa typically doesn't get you this level of quality.

Napa Cabs Blind Tasting Redux (Philadelphia, PA) : Napa (and other CA) cabs blind tasting Wine served: 6 of 7 Group: 2 of 7 Me: 2 of 7 Showing well tonight. My 2nd favorite of the blind tasting. Think this could use a bit more time. It came off as "Caymus-lite" which is not necessarily a bad thing. A bit on the higher alcohol range, highly extracted, a bit syrupy, hints of strawberry and blueberry. 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, …
