Beautiful nose with lemon, tart peach, minerals, and bright fruit notes. Nice acidity with good precision, more lemon flavors, citrus zest, stone fruit, green apple, and a hint of riper fruit on the palate. Great finish. Very good wine that is drinking well although it should continue to improve with age. Hold for another 5+ years. 94+

Drank in 2020. Not ready yet. Drinks sweeter than you would think for 14% AV. Wait until at least 2025.

WSET Level 3; 11/3/2019-2/3/2020 (San Diego, CA) : Pale lemon; Med+ intensity, youthful aromas of green fruit (apple, pear), stone fruit (apricot, white peach), dried fruit (apricot, apple), floral (white blossoms), and minerals (wet stones, chalk). Dry, high alcohol, high acid, med body, med+ intensity and a long finish. Palate picks up some spicy ginger, petrol, phenolics and a hint of lees contact (cheese, yogurt, brioche). Outstanding. Drink now, suitable for aging

Smells of white peaches, orange oil, licorice powder, fresh lemons and limes. Some chalky minerality. Massive acidity dominating on the palate. Lots of big citrus flavours, some phenolic texture. Acidic tang is a bit too much, just way too sour for the time being. Will need to age to settle down a bit. Has a lot of potential.

Medium yellow. Fragrant petrol and dried peach. Initial hint of sweetness from the glycerine, but then full, powerful, dry, and full of stone fruit and minerality. Tremendous aged Riesling, fully expressive.

Light golden. Mature Riesling aromatics-peach, petrol, and tea. Full bodied, dry, an herbal touch, great length. Marvelous mature bottle.

Flint and smoke aromas. Modern, sweet and fullbodied riesling. I guess the vintage influences on that. Concentrated, and a bitter, quite alcoholic finish. A good wine, but a few steps behind the Achleiten.

Comes across fully mature with a light golden hue, a burnished, smoky tinge to the fruit and a roasted beet-like savouriness. This doesn't have the cut or energy that other vintages have shown though, and it's a bit disappointing.

Always fun to drink a white wine with a bit of age and this was no exception. Still had great minerality but the flavors seemed a bit basic (dominated by apple) and the finish was a bit thin. Not ready to buy another but enjoyed the experience.
