Domaine Nicolas-Jay Pinot Noir Cherry Grove Vineyard

Barrel sample. Deep magenta color. Cherry, rhubarb, and subtle rosemary cracker. Smooth, dry palate, with satiny acidity. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish. My friend Ian and I are among the first to taste the ‘24s. My score is just a placeholder, but these are clearly going to be terrific. This Cherry Grove Pinot was more savory and difficult to judge.
