Ghost Pines, Pinot Noir, California

Good tannins and nice with smoked/seared rack of lamb. Not an overpowering wine with roast meats or wild game. Good overall balance.

Bon pinot de Californie. L’été passé j’avais été agréablement surpris par son fruité. Probablement moins fruité celui-ci mais néanmoins bon. Il y a meilleur pour 25-30$ aux USA notamment en Ohio. Bridgeview, alors j’hésite à le recommender vu son inconstance. Mais un solide choix!

I bought this wine on discount at our liquor commission ($24 CAD). It was an ok wine. Nothing special, just a decent everyday wine. Dark cherries, vanilla, blackberries, coffee. We drank it with pizza. It is a bigger wine than most pinot noirs but not a juice bomb by any means. It wasn't a match for my palate. Not sure I would buy it again, I much prefer other wines in this price range but I can see how others …
