Alma dinner in Singapore. Beautiful golden Color. A massive vanilla taste on the nose, caramel, toasted pineapple, white pepper, quite creamy. Med acidity, Med body, Med alcohol, Med flavor intensity, Med+ finish. Quite acidic, citrus, green apple and pineapple, on the mouth and then a quite creamy and vanilla after taste. A very atypical chardonnay with too much vanilla but this went perfectly with our Hokkaido scallop. Interesting discovery but not sure this is my style of wine.

Reticent nose, great mouth, good talcy tart length. Not sure that I'd give it that 94 from last time, but still quite nice.

Fleshed out and great. Good nose, great mouth, and a very good length - the whole package at age 8. Perhaps the best Chardonnay that we've had in a good while.

Another Blind Sunday (Chez S1) : Lots of creamy lemon curd. Many tasters called it old world with a bit of new world style. Acidity is muted but nearly balanced. The oak has integrated a bit but is still a bit heavy for my palate.

Straw-colored; green apple, underripe white peach, lemon, white flowers, and wet stone with hints of vanilla on the nose. Flavors of lemon pith, green apple, and wet stone dominate the palate. Medium plus acid, long finish.

Shame I drank this, but wanted to see how Santa Rita Hill chards were aging. Answer, very well. This would have been incredible in 5 more years and lasted longer than that.

Lots of citrus, a little honeysuckle and other white flowers. Lean and old world styled but not a lot of depth. Oak balance is good.

Nice. Talcy, orange fruit nose. The palate is currently missing a bit of middle, but the top-of-the-mouth nose almost makes up for it. The length is long, but also reticent. Good things to come. Try next in 2013.

Nose: Slate and minerals on the nose with a good dose of pungency (in a nice way) along with some peach fuzz and smoke. Taste: Tasted rich, with a higher level of acid and a touch of oak on the mid-palate finishing with abiter austene note which is not necessarily a bad thing. Rather unique tasting chardonnay but may not be for everyone.

Third bottle that I have had over the last 5 months. The first two were a little off. This one was excellent. It really seemed to have balanced out over the last few months.

This was fabulous. An elegant, restrained nose features hints of lemons, wet rocks, and green apples. On the palate, pineapple, peach, and nutmeg with a pleasingly spicy finish. Acidity keeps it crisp and clean across the palate. Still very young, and drank better on night two.

off-putting at first, very acidic with a bad aftertaste, as it warmed and aired it got increasingly better ending with a nice balance, with the taste of nougats and vanilla.
