Pall Mall 67,, Singapore. Interesting how i end up picking on a list a wine I had just a few months ago.My april note is largely accurate. I would be less severe this time around about palate depth though. 2021as a vintage seems to combine floral notes on the nose with comfortable alcohol level. No shrinking violet a la 2013. This is still very primary and not settled. This is not for easy drinking; hit a Village or Bourgogne level …

PM 67 - this is light bodied (in today's value system not the 80s) with stemmy nose bordered by stricter sauvage éléments. Really not tons of power on the palate which is borderline not adequate for 1 cru. This may flesh out as this happens with bottle aging so no definitive indictment. On this showing an adequate if rather inoffensive showing.

Pale to medium garnet. Slightly transparent. Some reduction. A hint of forest floor and mushrooms. Some oak and graphite. Violet and lavender. Red fruit of cherry and raspberry. Succulent texture with soft tannin. Floral finish with orange peel note. Lighter bodied and more red-fruited than other vintages. Still it is very charming.

Smoky and oaky and somewhat pickled at first with very little fruit. Opened up with time to a velvety, deep and complex flavor. Delicious wine.

Did fine for about half the bottle, but the shrillness and hollowness of this vintage fought with the MSD character and ultimately won out.

The label on this bottle had the word "Reserve; printed in the upper left corner on a slant. Lovely rich, dry cherry fruit with hints of earth and spice on the nose, more of the same on the palate, medium body, long finish. Went well with the mild Chinese food for dinner. Drink now as I feel it won't improve from further ageing.
